About the European Federation of NeuroRehabilitation Societies (EFNR)

Logo_EFNR

The European Federation for NeuroRehabilitation Societies (EFNR) is a multidisciplinary, international, nonpartisan, non-denominational organisation for the promotion of research, education, and scientific dialogue in the area of NeuroRehabilitation and related medical specialties.

Headquartered in Vienna, Austria, the EFNR is the effective European-wide organ of national NeuroRehabilitation Societies and other relevant stakeholders. Our organisation furthermore serves as a strong advocacy institution, as well as between healthcare professionals, media representatives and policy makers.

As a registered non-profit organisation, directly dedicated to endorsing and coordinating the scientific, philanthropic, intellectual and professional activities in the area of NeuroRehabiliation, the EFNR is driven by its commitment to serve the international scientific community and to provide latest research results to all interest groups.

It is also the mission of the EFNR to promote the medical and social wellbeing of persons with disabling neurological disorders, to advance training and research in the basic and clinical sciences which can lead to functional recovery of neurologically impaired persons, and to disseminate the knowledge of this research among professionals and the general public.

In addition, the EFNR develops and promotes homogeneous educational standards and curricula for young academics who intend to participate in research activities or practice in the field.
